The most important wild fruit of the Great Plains , Cree word 'misaskwatomina' gave Saskatoon its name. Tastes like blueberry with almond and vanilla notes. More cold-hardy and drought-tolerant than blueberries. Beautiful white spring flowers, brilliant fall color. Native superfood.
